Welcome to Education Futures, an introduction into learning enviroments

Today as a group, we discussed what we thought 'The learning environment' was. We were asked a series of questions which we had to answer these included

What is a learning environment?

Diverse contexts, physical locations and cultures in which students learn.

Where do people go to learn? What do those places look like?

Museums, libraries, schools, universities, the outside world, as you can tell no one area is the same; you can learn anywhere and everywhere

How does the arrangement of a learning space contribute to—or detract from—the task of education?

It needs to be arranged in such a way that the learner is able to focus upon and engage in the subject area.

So how important is the learning environment?

The learning environment is greatly important, but can vary depending on the learner themselves. Therefore the learning environment is some aspects needs to be fluid and changeable.

In pairs we answered these questions and then shared our answers with each other via a discussion thread on Moodle.( The link can be found here
As you can see the answers although slightly varied, were in essence very simila
